  18. This is by no means a way of _SIMPLY_ getting free software registrations,
  19. all of my programs are distributed under the shareware concept on numerous
  20. BBS's and CD-ROM disks as it is. This application is only for those people
  21. who believe they can make difference. The only reason I say this is because
  22. I have done far too many favors in the past in good faith and got burned or
  23. saw absolutely no results from it. If you feel your efforts could prove to
  24. be beneficial to my business, then complete and return this form and you'll
  25. be rewarded for your efforts. Further details are listed toward the end of
  26. this document.

  28. Keep in mind that YOU have to take the product to the public. Nobody will
  29. to come to you if they don't know you have the product. I have been in the
  30. distribution business before and nobody came looking for me until they knew
  31. I had what they were looking for. If you cannot take these products to what
  32. I would call "Potential Customers" (Other SysOps), then please stop here and
  33. don't bother submitting this application. If the only people that are going
  34. to see these files on your system are your regular users, then the idea of
  35. submitting the application is 100% pointless.

  123. * Terms For Being An Official Distribution/Support Site *

  126. 1. You need to have a BBS running 24 hours per day and in operation for at
  127.    least 2 years. This just tells me that your system has some staying power,
  128.    reliability, and that you have an adequate amount of experience as a sysop.
  129.  
  130. 2. You will need to have all the latest versions of BBS Utiliteez Software
  131.    programs in .ZIP format on your system. ALL ARCHIVES MUST CONTAIN _MY_
  132.    AUTHENTICITY VERIFICATION UPON EXTRACTION OF THE ARCHIVE. I don't care if
  133.    you can add your own AV to the archives or not, since these files were not
  134.    created by you, they ABSOLUTELY MUST bear my Authenticity Verification!
  135.    This will guarantee the file has not been tampered with or altered in any
  136.    way. Anybody can pick up a hacked copy of RAR and PKWARE, tamper with my
  137.    programs, and then re-archive them so they show an AV again. Without my
  138.    archive banner and serial number, the archive is INVALID! On occasion I
  139.    will freq one of my own programs to verify this.

  141. 3. You will need to have a front end mailer running on your BBS that accepts
  142.    file requests from any node address. All BBS Utiliteez Software products
  143.    must be available by File Request from any other system whether or not
  144.    their node number appears in your nodelist. Your magic names must match
  145.    the magic names listed in FREQ.LST as well to eliminate confusion.

  147. 4. Files must also be available to first time callers to your system. If a
  148.    first time caller doesn't have download access to these files, then you
  149.    will be removed from the list. I _WILL_ personally verify this access.

  151. 5. You will need to carry one of the Fight-O-Net echos DOORWARE, BBS_DOORS,
  152.    BBSDOORS, or SHOTGUN_BBS. If you don't carry at least one of these echos
  153.    then there is no way a person can obtain support through your system which
  154.    makes this application pointless to even submit.

  156. 6. You must have an Internet E-Mail address so that you can be notified of
  157.    new program releases and/or problems. Announcements cannot be sent via
  158.    routed netmail because some people like to _Think_ this is commercial
  159.    status routed netmail.

  161. 7. If you use a Call-Back Verifier on your BBS, you must have it configured
  162.    to pass thru long distance callers. If it doesn't do this, then please do
  163.    not bother submitting this application. If a long distance caller cannot
  164.    pass thru your Call-Back Verifer and have access to these files on their
  165.    first call, then this application will be rejected. I _WILL_ verify this
  166.    personally as well.

  168. 8. You need to have a means of taking these programs to the people. By simply
  169.    putting these files up for download/freq on your system isn't enough. You
  170.    need to have some way of making people aware that these programs e
